Interesting insights by visiting the Green Showroom
After the boring *5 elements.berlin I only had no more right like yet another exhibition to visit, but that did not help. So I went back on the way to the city center, more specifically to the Brandenburg Gate. In addition, namely, is the well-known five star Hotel Adlon, where the event was an exhibition event of a different kind called Green Showroom.
As the name suggests these, is this is a fair approach to international fashion, Accessories- and also beauty Labels sustainable, ecologically acceptable products. It is interesting, that the show takes place in a hallway of the Adlon and the outgoing of hotel rooms. In a hotel room one meets generally two companies in, the there on the beds, Chests and present their products in the cabinets. So I could completely relax and watch everything and let me know of the local people.
To be at the Green Showroom here may, All labels must meet two important criteria. On the one hand must own, its sophisticated design available. On the other hand, the issue of sustainability must be firmly anchored in the company concept. There are of course quite different approaches. Some labels focus on the use of natural materials, for example, fair trade, while in other recycling is in the foreground.
One of my personal favorites at the Green Showroom is the label jooloomooloo. Offered their children's linen is made from fair-trade cotton and is also produced under fair conditions in Sri Lanka. There is an emphasis on comfort, For example, why are there no signs sewn, it itches. All parts are printed with a jooloomooloo, the spun yarn, from which there is, fittingly, a children's book. And here's the scoop. The book is made of shit, more specifically from elephant shit, because elephants digest so bad, that enough plant fibers are left in their poop, to produce paper from. How cool is that! What an interesting recycling idea. Do not be afraid, the book still does not smell unpleasant and is absolutely hygienically safe for children. And I know, then shout that word to all the little ones always "right" opportunities!

Another, exciting project, which presented itself at the Adlon, called Green Age. Underlying this is a company based in Germany, the Colombian crafts & Accessories vertreibt. The goal of Green Age is, the quality of life of the mostly female, to improve Colombian craftsmen. All designs are hand-made from natural products such as palm seeds and- made fibers. A material mainly used is the Tagua Nut, which is similar in color and consistency Ivory. Looping, Cutting and dyeing creates beautiful, timeless, sustainable jewelry.
