Bettina May, Eve Champagne, Go-Go Amy

Seit einiger Zeit sah man schon die Flyer der Pretty Things, ausliegen, ansonsten fand ich allerdings, dass die Werbung für die Pretty Things Peepshow am Donnerstag in der Primitiv Bar etwas offensiver hätet ausfallen können. I think, dass doch viel zu wenig Personen überhaupt mitbekommen haben, dass die Pretty Things in der Stadt waren…

Ich war mir sogar unsicher, ob dem tatsächlich so ist, denn auf dem Plakat stand etwas von 21:00 Uhr und zumindest einige Minuten vorher war ich neben drei bis vier anderen Personen der einzige Gast in der Primitiv Bar. Von irgendwelchen Pretty Things war Fehlanzeige.

Meinem Handy nach 20:57 also drei Minuten vor Beginn erschienen sie dann, die Pretty Things, die man auch hätte Pretty Redheads nennen können, denn obwohl sie sich im genauen Ton nicht abgestimmt hatten, so hatten alle drei rote Haare, Feuerrot, Burgundrot.. Rot eben…. Erstaunlich, wenn man bedenkt, dass nur zwei Prozent der Weltbevölkerung rothaarig ist. Mittlerweile weiss ich auch welche der drei Damen mit wirklich roten Haaren gesegnet ist. Ich verrate es allerdings nicht.

Bis 22:30 vertrieb ich mir die Zeit mit Handy und Internet und bemerkte durchaus, dass es voller wurde. Leider jedoch nicht wirklich voll. Es war eben wochentags.. und zum Thema Werbung.. Naja ich sagte es. Dann begann tatsächlich die Show. Leider jedoch lief dort auch nicht gleich alles so, wie es sollte. Das Licht war dunkel und der Sound miserabel… Did not matter, denn es gab drei Sets und irgendwie haben sie es geschafft, die Musik hinzubekommen. Insofern war das nicht so schlimm.

Die Show selber war ziemlich gut. I found interesting, als Eve mit Federfächern auf dei Bühne kam.. Eve und eine Federnummer? Was ist denn in sie gefahren? Wollte sie sich etwa an einer waschechten Glamour-Burlesque Nummer versuchen??? No! Sie versuchte sich nicht am glamourösen Schwan sondern an einem anderen Vogel. Nämlich dem Vogel Strauss… Ihr wisst schon, dieser etwas “andere” Vogel, der nicht fliegt und den Kopf in den Sand steckt. Spannend und witzig gemacht von Eve, wenngleich sie auch ein wenig als Veloceraptor erschien

Go-Go Amy herself fiel mir vor allem dadurch auf, dass sie spannende Kostüme hatte, die sich meistens durch einen einzigen Riss von einem schönen zu einem Sexy Kostüm umswitchen liessen. Darüber hinaus waren ihre Nummern selbstverständlich viel Professionalität und für den Menschen, der schon viel gesehen hat doch eher wenig spannendes. Ich habe mich allerdings mit zwei Mädels unterhalten, die zum ersten Mal burlesque gesehen haben, die waren begeistert. Ich fürchte ich bin etwas agestumpft von Glamour-nummern von Eden, Feuernummern von Heidi und Xarah oder einfach interessanten Nummern von Golden Treasure, den Teaserettes oder eben Eve. Also bitte nicht falsch verstehen. es war schon wirklich gut, aber von einem großen Namen erwartet man wohl eine wirklich große Show..

Die dritte im Bunde war Bettina May, aus meiner zweitliebsten Stadt überhaupt, aus Vancouver in Kanada. Kommen da nicht auch Big John Bates & the Voodoo Dolls her?? Da scheint es eine agile Szene zu geben, ich glaube ich sollte mal wieder nach Vancouver fahren. Auf jeden Fall fiel mir bei den Mädels auf, dass sie wirklich gut im wigglen waren. Wiggle It! Bisher fand ich Golden Treasure da am besten, aber Go-Go Amy und Bettina May standen da in nichts nach. Class.

Insgesamt war die Pretty Things Peepshow eine wirklich kleine nette Burlesque Show, die Spaß gemacht hat und die gerne ein Paar weitere Besucher verdient hätte. Ein Freitag wäre sicher sinnvoller gewesen als ein Donnerstag. DaÂ die Damen aber am Freitag noch ihren Abschluss der Tour in Eves Wohnzimmer dem Queen Calavera hatten und die Reeperbahn fa für eine gefüllte Bar garantiert, dürfte es sie nicht wirklich gestört haben.

yesterday was the Pretty Things and their host Vincent Drambuie with you in the city – more specifically, in the primitive Bar, indeed in the Julietta La Doll celebrated their first Glitteresque. Es ist schon eine ganze Weile her, da erreichte mich der Hilferuf von Eve Champagne aus Hamburg, wo man denn in Berlin eine Lokalität für eine kleine Tournee mit der Pretty Things Peepshow mieten könne, die eben auch Station in Berlin machen soll.

Noch bevor ich allerdings antworten konnte, hat Eve schon die Primitiv Bar für einen Abend gemietet.

Mein Einwand, dass die Bühne dort ziemlich klein sei, und Julietta dort um jeden Quadratzentimeter feilchen musste, liess sie dabei allerdings nicht gelten. erstens sei das ein Burlesque Bootcamp und zweitens ist sie ja aus dem Queen Calavera kleine Bühnen gewöhnt. Etwas Werbung könne sie allerdings gebrauchen. Daher folgende Ankündigung:

Die Pretty Things Peepshow bietet nicht nur eine atemberaubende Nacht feinster Unterhaltung sondern auch höchste Professionalität die nur durch unsere feste Besetzung und den Gastperformern gegeben ist.

Man darf also gespannt sein, was die Mädels so auf die Bühne der Primitiv Bar bringen werden und ob sie ein verwöhntes und kritisches Publikum – say me – begeistern können

The Glitteresque – Berlin Burlesque Party

Pretty much almost three months ago was the primitive bar in Berlin Friedrichshain with a nice party with three performances of Bulesque Taschana and Julietta La Doll opened. A nice little bar with an even smaller stage and especially a very low stage. Should Heissen: Unfortunately, only the first row could see well…. That was still expandable. But a good start.

That said, probably also Julietta and decided, to make it a party series. The Glitteresque!

Glitter, Glam and Burlesque will now occur in the month mode in the primitive bar and thus hopefully many enthusiastic spectators…. It worked first time on Friday this very well. La Glitteresque was a success voler: The Bar war gerammelt Voll, Julietta was able to convince the bar, that the stage had to be at least three times as high, the girls at the bar were great and most of the guests were thrilled. Smaller flow margins, the first of a party are owed, fall there really no weight, even if a couple wanted to make the faith. Julietta konnte – , and was – be happy in the end. Her first party was a success and so it can go on. But to the matter:

Three girls were on stage: Julietta La Doll und Taschana, as three months ago, plus Lady Lou.

The likable New Zealander Lady Lou, already a long time in London Burlesque dancing has filed a maternity leave and speak celebrated at La Glitteresque her comeback. We already talked to the last Boheme Sauvage with her and she trusted to Sheila, that it would probably exciting, To watch her performance.
